"I like pie, I like cake..."
Well - there's a little bit more to me than that I suppose.
Vivien of Holloway dress for my AVON Tea Party, Cake It On |
I am an ex-mortician (in England we are called Anatomical Pathology Technicians but that's more of a mouthful than a slab of rock cake...) and although I don't work in mortuaries anymore I now conserve the specimens in St Bart's Pathology Museum.
I organise events drawing on my medical history interests, my Forensic knowledge and my love of Sherlock Holmes but I offset this with my rather twee hobbies of baking, cross-stitch and antique shopping.
I like tattoos and tea and taxidermy.
I like Murder-Mystery and macaroons and The Munsters.
I like baking and bodies and bunting...
You get the idea.
I decided to review afternoon tea with a bit of a burlesque twist and I also started to throw vintage themed Avon tea parties. (Yes - you can be an Avon lady covered in tattoos apparently) so I created my blogs Afternoon Tease and Cake It On.
I'm now very busy writing for a couple of publications, organising events involving death, gin, cake and vintage pin-ups, and working on my book about living in a convent....
Love, the Teasemaid
